![]() | Parents Assisting Teens At Campus House, we understand that parenting is one of the most important and challenging jobs. We assist and support parents in providing as many resources to them as possible. At the request of one of the Moxie parents, the program Parents Assisting Teens (PATS) was created. Even the name for the group was suggested by a parent. To achieve continued success, girls must have consistent support systems both in and outside the home. Whether parents are seeking informal assistance or dealing with a crisis situation, Campus House is available to help. The PATS program offers advice and support to parents in a non-judgmental environment. The parents meet at Campus House where child care is provided for their young children at no cost to make it possible for all to attend. PATS is dedicated to helping parents tackle everyday parenting issues. Trained professionals facilitate a formal group that meets regularly to discuss parenting challenges and strategies for success, in addition to providing one on one coaching. As one parent said, "I don't know how to raise kids, I need help". The great part is she looks for help and uses it. Assisting the parents with their job of parenting is thought of as, "what would extended family do?" |
