The treatment approach within the Campus House program can best be described as psychoeducational. Every aspect of the program is deliberately organized and administered to have maximum impact on the developmental needs of the girls. Consideration is given to their social, emotional, educational, as well as physical developmental needs. Personal growth and self-directed behavior that are in the best interest of the youth are foremost in the minds of staff as they interact with the girls. Campus House is able to provide the emotional support and establish an environment within which girls are able to learn alternative behaviors which will allow them to interact in new ways to old situations. Girls are involved in group therapy, in addition to individual counseling.

Group sessions are also held to teach youth assertiveness, anger management, and drug/alcohol education. The ultimate treatment goal is to provide the girls with sufficient new behaviors and courage to encounter life successfully and responsibly.

It is the policy of Campus House not to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin.

Performance Objectives:
l. To place a greater emphasis upon the individual, recognizing the need for change, rather than imposing it.
2. To offer an environment that lends support to academic pursuits so completing school is realistic.
3. To aid in the development of a more positive self-image.
4. To teach girls how to take effective control of their own lives.
5. To provide socialization and life skills.
